What to Expect
We know going church for the first time, or visiting a new church, can cause a range of emotions or questions. We want you to feel welcomed and comfortable. Below you’ll find a little bit about what to expect, but please don’t hesitate to ask if you have more questions.
Each week on Sunday mornings we gather at 10:30 for our time of congregational worship where we sing songs, pray, greet one another, and listen to a Bible-centered sermon.
As a congregation we value including our children in our worship service. So don’t be surprised if you hear young voices talking with a family member. It is a sound that brings us great joy. If you are a parent, go check out our Castlewood Kids page to find out all about our children’s ministry. We do offer childcare for children under age 5 during the service.
At our worship service you will find people wearing anything from jeans and a t-shirt to business casual (and even the occasional suit and tie), so don’t worry about what to wear.
We are a friendly bunch, so expect a couple people- or even a dozen- to introduce themselves to you. We’re just average everyday people who are genuinely glad you’ve decided to join us and this is one way we like to show it. One thing people love about our church is that it feels like family- so like a family reunion, we are excited to see each other and meet the new faces.
