| Thank
you for allowing me to be away this past weekend to attend my son
Timothy's college graduation. There were over 4,000 graduates
participating in Saturday's ceremony. Dr. Paige Patterson,
President of Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary preached the
baccalaureate sermon and Glenn Beck gave the commencement address. We
were glad to able to share this important day in Timothy's life. I have already heard that John Armstrong, Jr. did a fine job preaching and leading both services on Sunday. We are also pleased his fiancée, Olivia Sinclair, newly graduated from college also, was able to be with him for worship. Pray for them as the June 12 wedding day is fast approaching. I will look forward to our worship this Lord's Day as we celebrate His Supper together. |

| Yesterday
we recognized Joe and Juanita Fischer for celebrating 65 years of
marriage together. They serve as a wonderful example of what it means
to stay committed and faithful to one's marriage vows. We are
privileged to have their example among us. I am told the Ladies Tea was a raving success with 90 present, 17 first time attenders and a balance of generations gathered from grandmothers, to new mothers, to even the 9 little ones in the loving child care provided. Sunday was another large attendance as many families gathered to worship on Mother's Day.God is so good to us. Don't forget to thank Him for His mercy and His love this week. About our schedule: Come for our adult devotional time followed by prayer on Wednesday at 7 pm. We are holding up current news stories to Scripture to see how the Lord wants to illuminate the way we look at these things. You will want to be in your place this Sunday morning as John Armstrong, Jr., our Youth Director and student at Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary will be preaching both services. Also, we will observe the Lord's Supper on Sunday Morning, May 23. |

| The Bible says "and a little child shall lead them." Today that was again reality as Maria Nance came to become a member of Castlewood Baptist Church. Last week we baptized her daughter Kristine and I am grateful this family is increasingly sensing the drawing power of Jesus to Himself and to this fellowship. Also, as I write this during the afternoon I am listening to the wonderful sound of the congregation of Vallejo International Baptist Church singing songs of praise following their baptism service held here today. I thank our people for their graciousness to lend the facility to this sister Baptist church. |
