A great Sunday morning worship attendance and three young adults coming and praying to receive Christ at the altar; Thank you, Precious Lord Jesus. Bethany will be baptized this coming Sunday, but pray for all three, Bethany, Emely and Princess as they continue to grow and discover what it means to follow Christ.

I thought you might want to know that $280 came in through Sunday's offering designated for Haiti earthquake relief. I am sure there are others of you who made direct donations online through links like those we have placed on the church's homepage. This kind of response added to the compassionate hearts of millions of American people will make a huge difference in these broken and hurting lives.

I was touched at the response you gave as many stood beside the Thomas' and upheld them in prayer as we cried out to the Lord on behalf of their son, Tim. Continue to pray that God's hand will be upon this man and his family.

The body of Christ lost a brother, pastor and preacher of the Gospel in Rev. Bill Lewis this week. Bill had been living in retirement in his home state of Arkansas in these last years and was a warmly remembered pastor of Castlewood Baptist Church for the second half of the 1960's. Here is a link where you can find more information.

What a fine day to baptize two in worship yesterday. Worship that begins with baptism is always just a little more special.

The signups for the Sooper Dooper Bowl, adults versus youth, are going well. This event is a first time thing for us and we hope it will become an annual event. Thank you, John Armstrong for the idea and your preparation.

Kyle Bourland and Toni Flanagan both came and gave their hearts to Jesus yesterday. What a joy it was to share with them in a prayer of salvation right there in worship. They are both ready and looking forward to their baptisms next Sunday morning.

Be in your place as we happily celebrate together.
